Creating safe workplaces and campuses through tolerance and connections.

FEI is presenting at two upcoming conferences: the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) Annual Conference and the National Behavioral Intervention Team Association (NaBITA) Annual Conference.

The IAEM conference runs November 10-15 in Long Beach, CA. FEI Senior Director Terri Howard will present “Civil Unrest and Employees: When Community Concerns Become Workplace Challenges” on November 15 at 3 p.m. PST.

Howard’s session will discuss how recent events and the polarization of individual attitudes and opinions have spilled over into the workplace. Participants will learn what responsibility employers have to address these issues and how to support employees and their families experiencing this phenomenon.

The NaBITA conference runs November 13-17 in San Antonio, TX, and FEI Business Solutions Engineer Raquelle Solon will present “Safety, Connections, Managing Emotions: Creating a Trauma Informed Campus” on November 15 at 8:30 a.m. CST.

Solon’s informative presentation will discuss trauma-informed care and best practice for applying it to campus violence prevention plans. Participants will learn strategies to fully incorporate a trauma-informed approach to their campus policies, procedures and practices.
