Stephen Mack

Stephen Mack was named chair of the Alliance Board of Directors in January 2011. Prior to serving as chair, Mack was treasurer of the full board and chair of the finance committee. While treasurer, he helped ensure that the Alliance weathered economic challenges.The Chicago native became familiar with the Alliance during his 13 years on the board of Children’s Home + Aid, Chicago, including a three-year term as board chair. He continues to be an honorary life trustee and serves on the board of the agency’s foundation.

Mack, a certified public accountant, comes to the Alliance board after many years in banking. He retired from LaSalle Bank in 2006.

In addition, Mack serves on the board of the Council on Accreditation; Northwestern University Library Board of Governors; and Alzheimer’s Association – Greater Illinois Chapter.
