The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities seeks an Information Technology Manager to join our dynamic team. The I.T. Manager will lead the organization’s technology operations and set the technology direction for the entire company (Alliance and FEI Behavioral Health) by working with the executive leadership team (C-suite) in support of the organization’s strategic initiatives and achievement of its goals.

Purpose

The Manager must oversee and lead the delivery of a complete range of technology services to the entire company; including a secure data network infrastructure, a reliable e-mail system, successful websites, computer workstation services, voice telecommunications and crisis response activities. The Manager needs to be a leader who is comfortable modeling best practices; working with colleagues of diverse backgrounds, styles and leadership abilities; leading change; and, influencing the beliefs and behaviors of others internally and externally. The Alliance strives to be a data-driven organization and the I.T. Manager needs to embrace this culture. The Manager is the company’s primary representative in technology business matters. She/he is skilled at applying process management techniques and innovation to meet the needs of individual business units and the overall goals of the company.

Responsibilities

A proven track record of program management, business analysis, requirements planning, and team leadership will be critical qualifications. We prefer that the Manager have some specific experience/knowledge working with, and/or in, nonprofit or association environments, and in particular, with executive leadership (C-suite) at such organizations. The Manager will have strong writing, presentation, and customer service skills that are applicable to diverse (non-technical) audiences and formats. Successful candidates will have exceptional project management skills and the demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex deadline driven projects.

Desired Education and Experience

We anticipate successful candidates will have a relevant Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or comparable industry certifications. A minimum of five years of relevant technical experience in one or a combination of the following areas: helpdesk, application maintenance and support, network engineering, database design and/or administration, application testing and implementation, system architecture, program and project management across organizational boundaries and/or data governance combined with two years of management experience leading a team of three or more. Management of a technical team preferred.
