Part-Time Fund Development Database and Stewardship Coordinator
Milwaukee, WI

The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities seeks a part-time fund development database and stewardship coordinator to join our dynamic team and our network of thousands of committed social sector professionals working to positively impact local communities across the country. Through our collective work, Alliance staff and our network of members help all children, adults, and families achieve their full potential.

The fund development database and stewardship coordinator will manage all aspects of our Raiser’s Edge database and recently purchased Raiser’s Edge NXT interface; conduct gift entry and donor stewardship; set up data processes and maintain data integrity; and develop efficiencies in our work processes related to Raiser’s Edge.

Bachelor's.or relevant combination of education and experience. Two years of demonstrated experience working with Raiser’s Edge database, preferably in a nonprofit setting. Highly organized problem solver with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and the ability to deal with confidential data. Experienced in donor communication and stewardship.

Part-Time Senior Copywriter
Milwaukee, WI

The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities is looking to hire a seasoned professional (age 50-plus) into a grant-funded, 1000 hours per year part-time fellow position. He or she would support the execution of various marketing and communications initiatives including email communications, content marketing and digital and social media deployment. In collaboration with the marketing department, this position will plan and maintain the department’s content calendar; assist in message development; and write, edit and publish content to help the Alliance achieve its awareness, engagement and revenue objectives.

This is a one-year, stipend position ($25,000/year), with the possibility of extending one to two years. Referred to as an “encore fellowship,” this position is an opportunity for continued income, work-life flexibility and greater meaning and social impact for someone in his or her second half of life. The senior copywriter will be based out of the Alliance’s office in Downtown Milwaukee, with the flexibility to occasionally work remotely.

The Alliance is looking for a seasoned marketing professional (age 50-plus) with transferrable skills. Previous work related to content development, copywriting and marketing strategy is required.

Senior Director, Government Affairs
Washington, DC

The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities seeks a senior director of government affairs to join our dynamic team. Candidates should possess significant political acumen and be perceived as an influential consensus-maker. The ideal candidate should have or be able to establish personal relationships with bipartisan, bicameral members of Congress and their staffs. S/he should also have or be able to develop strong contacts with relevant committees (e.g. Judiciary, Commerce, Ways & Means, Finance, etc.), Congressional Caucuses, and federal agencies (e.g. HHS). S/He will use these contacts to help implement the Alliance’s Public Policy agenda for successfully achieving specific legislative results in Washington.

Bachelor or master’s degree in social sciences, public health, public policy, public administration or business administration; 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
