Strengthening relationships and preventing violence through effective communication.

FEI will present at the School Safety Advocacy Council’s 2018 National School Safety Conference, running July 23-27 at the Omni Champions Gate Resort and Spa, Orlando, Fla.

FEI Business Solutions Engineer Raquelle Solon will be presenting the session “Is the Way You Communicate Affecting Behavior?” on July 25 at 4:00 p.m. EST. This session will explore how effective communication can be a tool for preventing acts of violence in schools.

Solon will discuss communication’s role in relationships and how certain interactions can trigger behaviors in at-risk or otherwise traumatized students. The session will explore the communication process and how at-risk youth express themselves and meet their needs. Participants will learn specific tools for improving their communication skills and strategies for incorporating a trauma-informed approach to communication and interactions with students.

In addition to presenting, FEI will also be exhibiting at the conference.
