The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities seeks a marketing and communications coordinator to join our dynamic team. In addition to supporting the Alliance’s marketing efforts, this position will play a key role in maintaining the brand of the Alliance’s social enterprise, FEI Behavioral Health (FEI), through the design and production of visual print and electronic communications as well as staff support. He or she will also assist in developing, writing, and editing communications for a variety of marketing channels. Purpose

The marketing and communications coordinator is responsible for contributing to and assisting in the development, implementation, and execution of the Alliance and FEI’s strategic marketing plan so that both organizations can achieve their respective business goals. He or she will support the planning and execution of a wide range of marketing and communication initiatives, including graphic design, content marketing, digital and social media. A significant component of this role is producing complex PowerPoint presentations for conferences, speaking engagements, trainings, and internal meetings. In addition, the marketing and communications coordinator will create images, fliers, brochures, reports, and other items using graphic design software.

The position will report to the Alliance’s associate director of marketing and work closely with FEI’s marketing and public relations manager.

Responsibilities

  • Execute marketing and communication plans, with an emphasis on FEI
  • Manage and create dynamic PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences
  • Contribute to all areas of content development and production (videos, case studies, blog posts and articles, and promotional emails) for use in integrated marketing strategies
  • Create images, fliers, brochures, reports, and other items using graphic design software and standard processes
  • Serve as a brand champion for both the Alliance and FEI, providing staff with tools, resources, and consultation they need to stay on brand
  • Track and report on the success of communications tactics and strategies

Desired Education and Experience

Bachelor’s in marketing/communications, journalism, or related field from an accredited college or university required. Two to five years of previous marketing/communications and graphic design experience with an emphasis on PowerPoint design, ideally in a large organization or marketing consulting firm; experience in the nonprofit sector or familiarity with social enterprise business models a plus.
